Project overview

Redbourn is a 104-acre open arable Green Belt site that is situated on the northeast edge of the village of Redbourn, within the District of St Albans.

Lands Improvement are promoting the site on behalf of landowners Lawes Agricultural Trust.  The proposals will look to provide a landscape-led scheme with a new countryside park along the River Ver at its heart.  In addition to new homes, the scheme will focus on providing infrastructure improvements for wider social and community needs to support a sustainable future for Redbourn.

Project progress

The project is in the early stages of planning promotion through St Albans’ emerging local plan. The emerging local plan is likely to seek to allocate new sites for to fulfil the District’s housing need and this site will be promoted for a strategic allocation for residential-led development.

The site is situated on the northeast edge of the village of Redbourn, within the District of St Albans.
